About Matt Mickiewicz and 99designs

I keep hearing from online businesses that 99designs is how they outsource their design work so they could save money and get more design options.

I know Matt Mickiewicz, he’s the co-founder of SitePoint, and I know that 99designs has been profitable since day one. According to their site, they facilitated over $5 million in design work in the 16 months they’ve been in business.

So I asked Matt to come to Mixergy to teach how he did it and what he learned along the way.

About 99designs: 99designs lets you “run a ‘design contest,’ where thousands of designers compete to create the best possible design to meet your needs. All you need is a clear idea of what you want designed and how much you’re prepared to pay for it”

How can I make you smarter with this interivew?

  • What would you like to know about how Matt and his people built 99designs?
  • What information would help you build a better company?
  • What should I know about Matt and 99designs before this interview?

Tell me in the comments or by email. Or better yet, join us live and ask Matt directly. It’ll be right here on Mixergy.com.

I must be in a time warp. Is the date correct above? It says the interview is Friday, May 21 but that's a Friday.
I'm hoping you meant the 29th, so I didn't miss it!

  2. AndrewWarner Says:

Thanks for catching that Jim. It's a typo. I meant to say the 22nd.

But I recorded it all. I need to do some heavy editing on this one because
we were disconnected about 6-8 times. But once I get online I know you'll
benefit from it. It's one of my best interviews.

And thank you again for catching my error Jim!
