Must Watch: How the creative wiz team at Vismo Media explains Mixergy in a short video
on Aug 31, 2010 - 1:26 PM PSTMichael Bayer and the video production crew at Vismo Media are incredible. They saw my past interviews and offered to create the above video to help explain Mixergy to new viewers.
As impressive as the video design is, what’s even more powerful is how Michael and his team helped me express and communicate the mission behind my work.
To do that, they helped me identify the key points that I want Mixergy to stand for. Then they helped me turn those bullet points into a script.
Increasingly, I’m noticing companies like Dropbox use video to quickly explain what they do and to convert causal clicks into registered, active users. If you’re looking for a company to do your video, I highly recommend Vismo Media.

Oh I like this, nice explanation, and you didn´t hesitated to use your own voice ;)
Oh BTW, I kind of got the impression/vibe…that this video was done by the same team as the “groupon self-explaining- video” It kind of have the same “athmosphere”

Looks like you guys are doing great work. However, your site looks little buggy. Get your developer to fix it ASAP. For example, your “gettting started” page gives a 404 : http://vismomedia.com/blog/gettingstarted.html

Hmm… I like the idea, but I didn’t really like the video. I don’t think it really captured why I watch and listen and tell other people about Mixergy. I can’t put my finger on what’s missing from the video, though. I’ll have to get back with you.

Nice work Andrew/Vismo…I think it tells a good visual story. I would say add a bit more pep to your voice/video speed. Like when you do your intro of Mixergy just prior to introducing your interviewee..
You bring a lot of energy and it gets me pumped to listen to your next interview ;-)
Keep up the great work…

Oh woow..nice video..Andrew i bet if you wanted you could do lots of commercial, you got those interview voices, you know those commercial voices you hear on tv..(Laughs)
I think you should look into that.

WOW this is pretty cool Andrew. What I liked the most were the clips and the names featured as the whole world. Lots of success to you.

Love that! This was so inspirational for me since I’m entering a commercial production contest in a few weeks. I think I’ll team up with my best friend — an artist — and see what we can come up with. I’ve been studying super bowl commercials, but now I’m thinking a bit more outside of the box. I probably wouldn’t have even thought about using animation until seeing this. I’ll let you know if it wins :)

They did an awesome job with the video! While it comes across as professional there’s something a little off for me. Maybe it’s the music… not sure, can’t put my finger exactly. It’s very professional but has a different feel than what I associate with Mixergy — this is all very subjective of course and maybe I’m in the minority. In any case, they really did a great job with the video.
