Want your lost wallet to be returned? Have a baby picture in it.

Richard Wiseman planted hundreds of wallets around Edinburgh.
50% of all the “lost” wallets were returned
BUT 90% of the wallets that had baby pictures in them were returned
When you show your human side people care more.
A friend asked me why I publicly post personal pictures like the ones from my weekend trips with Olivia on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. It took me a long time to feel comfortable doing that, but I’m glad that I did. I think people care more about my work now that I talk about my non-work side.
I learned how to mix my personal and business side from this 2-minute clip from a Mixergy interview.

Very nice Andrew. That's what I am telling my (teacher) students, too. Show your client that you are a real person. One of the reasons why I have my private blog where I post pictures of what I am cooking and of the region I am living in :).
Btw, do you think this would work with a picture of my cat? ;)

How about just printing the picture of the baby I included in this post and
putting that in your wallet? ;-)

Is it public domain? The picture, not the kid ;).
Honestly, this is a “Godinesque” post. Still thinking about it. Great one, Andrew!

Richard Wiseman is a wicked smart researcher when it comes to human behavior – find his books and read them ALL.
Start with the luck factor.
